The standalone title for 20 euros is also worthwhile for those who already own the full version of Ghost of Tsushima, as he brings a new Rival mode.

What is the problem? As soon as Legends is downloaded via PS plus, there is no longer the option to upgrade the basic game of Ghost of Tsushima to the Director‘s Cut along with its IKI extension. Maxime describes that he wanted to boost his PS4 version of Ghost of Tsushima after downloading the PS5 version of Legends on the Director’s Cut, but he received an error message:

When Maxime his suffering via Twitter complained to the relevant development studio Sucker Punch, the customer support on the PlayStation. And indeed: After turning to customer support, his problem could be resolved.

How was the problem fixed? Unfortunately, only the possibility to remove the standalone version of Legends again from the PS4 or PS5 (ie the license, as with a refund). After the game has been completely removed from the console, the Director’s Cut Upgrade was also displayed again in the PS Store.

What can I do if I’m concerned? Currently we can not recommend to you, the Ghost of Tsushima: Legends about PS plus, if you have not purchased the Director’s Cut yet, but still want it. Have you downloaded the game and want to remove it again, you have to turn to the PlayStation Support.

Unfortunately, the support can only be contacted in Germany from Monday to Friday in a period of 10 to 19 o’clock, while English-speaking people can use the support assistant chat to contact the support using the Refund Assistant chat.
