The deep dungeons will return to FFXIV
The deep dungeons will return to Final Fantasy XIV.
The producer and director of the MMORPG of Square Enix, Naoki Yoshida, has confirmed it at the FFXIV Fan Festival held in Korea this weekend, explaining that “many people around the world wanted more deep dungeons.”
Although he has not explained what his content will be or when they will be available, he has ensured that these Roguelike style adventures will be introduced into the 6.0 patch series, which will begin to arrive within one or two months.
Final Fantasy XIV is the most profitable game in the history of the franchise. At the end of last year, coinciding with the publication of Endwalker expansion, it was revealed that the MMORPG already had more than twenty-four million players.
The game was originally published eleven years ago, although in its initial iteration it received numerous criticisms, both by the specialized press and the public. The developers returned to the design blackboard to renew it completely with Realm Reborn, and in 2015 the fruit of this work was rewarded by reaching four million registered users. In 2017, with the publication of the third expansion (stormblood) that figure increased to ten million, and has not stopped growing since then.
