God of War Ragnarok Cory Barlog explains why it will be the last game of Nordic mythology

God of War Ragnarok is giving a lot to talk about. And it is not for less, since it is from the most anticipated games of PS5 and PS4 . After his first Gameplay trailer we have been full of wanting to be able to walk through his particular version of Nordic mythology.

And we already tell you that since Sony Santa Monica said it will be the last delivery of the saga, precisely, based on the Nordic theme. Something that has surprised themselves and strangers, since everything seemed conceived to be counted as a trilogy.

Cory Barlog, Game Director of 2018 and Eric Williams, Director of God of War Ragnarok, have awarded a series of interviews and an issue on the Kaptain Kuba YouTube channel, give more details for which this adventure will be the last one with Nordic gods.

Barlog himself explains that the main reason to conclude with the Nordic saga in God of War Ragnarok is due to the long period of development that a modern game of saga needs, ranging from 4 to 5 years. For this reason, and because their managers do not want to stretch the story too , so they have opted to compact the approach more, offering a larger game before segmenting it in three.
